Pulp Motion is a very inexpensive application which you can use to create gorgeous looking slideshows. However, the early version had a theme called "Silly News" in there you can create funny looking news casts. You choose between stock photos or upload one from your computer, and it removes the eyes and mouth where you replace it w/ your own and talk. One other aspect of that was the ability create an intro screen. This is how I used that to edit the spinning globe w/ the text, color, speed, and audio of my choosing.
