Thanks for everyone's feedback..but I think maybe I've been misunderstood in my comment "BLOCKED"!
First, I plan my assignments from school. As a technology teacher dealing with website's it has always been my recommendation to teachers to test the site at school first instead of at home. The problem is with putting all of the time together in planning and then by the time it's time to the work, the district decides to block another website. This has happened to me within 1 day of instruction. W… Continue

Here is the link
Thanks for sharing with me.
Larry, thanks for writing it!

I'm very frustrated as I am moving all of my students forward and yet I feel blocked in every direction I go. I get them excited. They all show up to my classes. I give them the tools they need, then when it comes time to show off there work, BLOCKED!!!
It makes me feel like I've let everyone of them down. How are we as educators going to ever get ahead and push are students ahead if everytime something great comes along, it gets blocked. Now I'm wondering why I should turn the other che… Continue
My students are currently working on animation, html, videos, and stop motion videos. They are putting all of this together using a digital cameras, web cams, cell phones or video cameras. All info must be documented first before created i.e. storyboard and outline. Those creating webpages will be writing in html or using excel. I have some students creating comics that have to tell an informational story using a 4 block storyboard.
All students will be graded on a 5 pt rubric in the following… Continue

Let me tell you just one of the values of the Vid Snacks community here on Ning. Not long ago I posted a blog, “The World is Watching”. My point was that students needed to understand what they were creating with video would be seen outside the school or the local community. As usual in the classroom setting, the explanation of TEAM received the usual head nods or stares, but when students actually began getting responses from the global community, immediately change occurred. I teach eleven yea… Continue

I would like to share with you about a recent tool I heard from one of my friend. Its about how you can create a training module on a subject if you have a video about it.Very useful for educators and trainers. If anyone interested, let me know and I shall give you the contact details.
My hope is that videomaking, analogous to brain activity, is appreciated as a "physiology" for storytelling, analogous to the emergent qualities of a cognitive, creative, essentially human mind. Hopefully, students will learn the fundamental technical skills to the degree that they're applied nearly without self-consciousness of what they are doing so that their minds are engaged in telling their stories to one another and to us. There is so much more at play here than how tos of capturing movin… Continue

We use Wirecast to do our daily/live morning announcements does anybody else use this program? You may not be able to edit video like you would in imovie but it has some amazing things. ChromaKey is so easy, and switching from one shot to another on a fly is great. Check it out here http://www.varasoftware.com/products/wirecast/ Continue
