Why are using video in your class?

Morgan Mandel is a Chicago area author of mystery and romance novels.

Her new novel, due out this winter, GIRL OF MY DREAMS, is a romantic comedy and Cinderella story about a reality show contestant.
She uses Youtube videos for book trailers, for interviews of other authors, even to record her dog!

A little deeper, podcasts can be subscribed to as an RSS feed and files can be attached to the subscribed podcast. This is a very powerful feature of podcasting in that assessments, surveys, and other kinds of tools can be sent to the subscriber along with the podcast AND a podcast is much easier to produce!

However, podcasts are typically formatted to play on a portable video device, hence like an iPod...this is the Mp4 format I think..

YouTube videos are formatted to play on youtube (flash fies) and typically have a lower resolution. So if you have something that has some detail in it, such as smaller text, you want to make a podcast.

However, I think they are becoming interchangable.
